The 9th Annual Airports Company South Africa Disability Trade and Lifestyle Expo and Conference
What is often more difficult to deal with are not the physical barriers, but the attitudes of society and people’s lack of understanding of what it is like to have a disability. It takes decades to change people’s attitudes towards people with disability.
The 9th Annual Airports Company South Africa Disability Trade and Lifestyle Expo and Conference will begin the conversation and break down the barriers, open doors and create an inclusive society for all from the 7th to the 9th of November 2013 at Nasrec Expo Centre in Johannesburg.
The exhibition will showcase lifestyle solutions and talents of people living with disabilities. The conference will provide a platform for people with disabilities and business and government leaders to find innovative solutions and opportunities in the areas of education, skills development, and employment.
The event will be addressed by the Minister of Women, Children and People with Disabilities, Lulu Xingwana. Dipuo Peters, Minister of Transport and Gauteng Premier Nomvula Mokonyane will also address the conference. Corporate business will be represented by amongst others, Bongani Maseko, MD of Airports Company South Africa, and Jackie Walters from the Southern African Bus Operators Association.
